General

Low shrub, grows in moist fields and uplands. White to pinkish flowers are attractive in the summer. Root suckering shrub.

Plant Description

Long, pointed clusters of white or sometimes light pinkish flowers. Coarsely serrate, elliptical green leaves, whorled. Dark brown almost purple bark. Fruit is inconspicuous, dry and brown.
