Additional Information
According to BRIT - Native American Ethnobotany Database, the Cherokee would use a decoction of the roots to treat children with parasitic infections. The Ojibwa have used an infusion of the roots for wounds to the feet and as a wash for sore eyes. The buds have been used as food as well.
